Marine Pile Guard

Polyurea wood coatings provide a superior protective barrier for Wolmanized® CCA Heavy Duty™ piling from Robbins, making it abrasion, impact and moisture resistant. Coating polyurethane on wood resembles traditional vinyl or ABS plastic with a textured appearance that forms a slip-resistant and waterproof barrier.

Benefits of polyurea coating on treated marine piling?

  • Treated for marine use with trusted, proven Womanac® CCA.
  • Retention of 2.50 pcf.
  • Dried after treatment to allow for solid adhesion and stabilize wood to prevent further cracking and splitting.
  • Encapsulated with polyurea coating to a thickness of approximately 60 mills to prevent leaching of preservatives thus creating environmentally friendly treated wood piling.
  • Prolonged useful life by adding additional encapsulated protection from evasive marine organisms.
  • Protected against water migration through treated wood piling, preventing fuzzy wood piling (caused by tracheid separation) and further cracking and splitting.
  • Easily drilled and cut.
  • Prepped to manage simple imperfections that might disturb the coating and repaired with ease if coating is fractured due to cutting (repair kits are available to match the coating color) tools.
